ZERO DISTORTION FOR MUSIC

WELLFLOAT Platform creator G Clef Acoustic was established in 1978 supplying professional broadcasting equipment. The founder’s background in live classical music led to developing WELLFLOAT.

The platforms have evolved in Japan, a country having many earthquakes every year. In the last decade, WELLFLOAT products have been adopted and used as the most reliable tool in the listening rooms of a number of recording studios.

The latest version platform features “Full-con mech” inside, giving a maximum support weight of 300kg (661lbs), sufficient for any type of high-end HiFi equipment.

A uniquely developed mechanism featuring a “cantilever and hanging pendulum” converts the vibration coming from multiple directions, restricting it solely to a horizontal vibration. This smart mechanism achieves a stress-free, no-distortion sound while keeping all the positive energy related to accurate musical reproduction.

A patented pendulum movement floating suspension system consists of a U-shaped special stainless steel spring connected via a piano wire. When weight is applied on top board, the U-shaped stainless steel comes down to create a pendulum movement in the piano wire. The vibration, up-down, right-left, forward-backward is totally absorbed. Super effective at minimising floor vibrations and eliminating microphonics within components, working for amplifiers, speakers, and all High-End devices.

“The Wellfloat barely affected tonal balance. Instead, it introduced a lot of new information as though there were more data. Things got denser and everything that happens became more meaningful. The outlines of instruments were better defined, their 3D relief gained in-depth and the differentiation between instruments improved. When I removed the Wellfloat, I lost depth and things got flatter…You can’t really see and thus appreciate how elaborate the hidden suspension mechanism between the two basic boards is. At 30mm for the upper board and 15mm for the lower and just a few millimeters of clearance between them to make for low overall height, it becomes a perfect choice for space-limited systems.” 6moons.com

CEC WellFloat review – HiFideilty
“The CEC WellFloat board has become something of a ‘go-to’ choice, not only does it bring an entirely positive enhancement to CD replay, it’s proved to be a remarkably versatile, well-balanced (no pun intended) device in a wider range of applications than we might have anticipated.“ (K. Scott – from Living Voice – UK)
