Aurora 10" arm Black finish, silver/chrome counterweight, Copper internal wires, C-Mo bearings.
The Aurora incorporates all the best performance features from earlier arms, including a very similar bearing to the Orion. Although of incredibly solid construction this dynamically balanced arm has a low to medium effective mass to suit a wide variety of cartridges from 7 to 15g. Helius' arms are dynamically damped by a combination of differential masses and non-coincident bearings. Standard arm length is 10". Adding an extra inch to the standard 9" arm reduces the tracking error to a level not dissimilar to that found in a 12" long arm, without adding the additional inertia or mounting problems that can be encountered with the longer version. |
